March offers attractions for sports fans
Fresno State has its own version of March Madness with intercollegiate athletic competition on campus 18 days – four of which feature more than one contest and three with more than one sport on display.

The first doubleheader is Saturday, March 5, when Bulldog women’s basketball hosts WAC rival Nevada at 6 p.m., followed by the men’s team playing Hawai’i at the Save Mart Center. A ticket to the women’s game is good for admission to the men’s and it will be Senior Night, honoring seniors on both teams.

March 12 will offer men’s tennis vs. Cal Poly at 1 p.m. in the Wathen Tennis Center (free admission). Softball hosts its own doubleheader vs. Drake at 5 p.m. and Troy at 7 o’clock at Bulldog Diamond.

Another softball-men’s tennis doubleheader on March 13 begins with tennis vs. Santa Clara at noon. Nationally ranked Cal visits Bulldog Diamond on Men’s and Women’s Fast Pitch Day. Special attractions beside the action on the field include an HDTV giveaway and a postgame social with the Bulldogs and Coach Margie Wright on the field.
