Chancellor details CSU impact on state

Many who work in and around California State University campuses know that the CSU has a major impact on the citizens and communities of California. A comprehensive new study of the impact of the CSU confirms that belief. According to the study, the CSU system and its 23 campuses have a dramatic and unparalleled impact on the economic, social, intellectual and cultural life of all of California.

For every $1 the state invests, CSU-related expenditures generate $4.41 in spending. more

Fresno State 's University Journal was named a silver medal winner at the annual District VII conference of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), held in December in San Francisco. more

MPC Bowl victory

With the longest active streak among schools in the western United States, Fresno State made its sixth consecutive bowl appearance when the Bulldogs battled No. 18 Virginia at the MPC Computers Bowl in Boise, Idaho last month. The Bulldogs defeated the Cavaliers, 37-34 in a thrilling come-from-behind win in overtime. more

Student/staffer survives tsunami

Peter Dwight, a Fresno State student who works as a research technician for the Office of Institutional Research, Planning and Assessment, said “God was looking out” for his family while they were vacationing in Thailand when the tsunami struck. more
